Notes

"An A.B.C. recording, released in Australia exclusively by World Record Club."

Australian WRC pressing, sourced from original stampers and featuring unique sleeve art. "S/5543" on sleeve, "S-5543" on labels. One of the rarer WRC LPs for good reason, it is possible, but unlikely, that a second edition exists, with "R-01050" on the labels.

World Record Club: Registered Office - 605 Camberwell Road, Hartwell, Victoria, 3124.

Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp is an American actionadventure comedy series that originally aired on ABC from September 12, 1970 to January 2, 1971. The Saturday morning live-action film series featured a cast of chimpanzees given apparent speaking roles by overdubbing with human voices. Lancelot Link, Secret Chimp had a seven-figure budget with location filming, props and costumes, and the laborious staging and training of the animals. The filmmakers made the most of the budget, staging multiple. Lancelot Link and his crime fighting partner, Mata Hairi, are undercover as a part of the psychedelic music group, The Evolution Revolution. Lancelot Link & the Evolution Revolution. The Evolution Revolution was an all Hippie Chimp band. The chimpanzees in the band were dressed in outlandish hippie wardrobes and even wore wigs. Lance Link played the guitar, Mata Hairi shook the tambourine and Blackie beat the drums, there was also a chimp on the keyboard, but as far as I know a name was never given for him. Steve Hoffman performed all the songs for The Evolution Revolution and he co-wrote many of them as well. ABC actually released an LP featuring The Evolution Revolution songs and a single for Sha-La Love You. Complรฉtez votre collection Lancelot Link And The Evolution Revolution. I had watched the Saturday morning show years before, but somehow failed to notice how clean those tunes were. Or maybe the music had a subconcious pull from years of watching this stuff as a kid. The creators of the program, the writing team of Mike Marmer and Stan Burns, sold ABC on Lancelot Link in part because of their stint writing for the clever spy spoof Get Smart, which had just left the air after five seasons
