From Play-Asia:Hello! Due to a mistake in one of our supplier’s offers to us, we have accidentallyswitched the long sold out and out of print Neon Genesis Evangelion vinyl soundtrackto “pre-order” again. After we saw your order, we quickly confirmed with the saidsupplier that it was a mistake in their barcode that led to the mix-up. We are sorryto disappoint you, but the item is still not available. If we see any possibility toorder it, we will inform you immediately.

Here's to hoping they repress... :( Why do I always learn about these things after?
Negal
'Why do I always learn about these things after?' yes me too, but I guess there's a way to stay tuned, I hope that google alert will work and buzz me for a next press (if ever :)
Saberblade
I feel the same way about a lot of other releases.
Villo

Firstly, I have to comment on this most beautiful packaging the album is displayed in. The cover has a nice texture to it while the title is glossy in contrast. Too bad most of the text is Japanese, although the songs names are mostly readable for us other buyers. The records themselves look really clean and feel well protected in their sturdy gatefold jacket. Secondly, for the music itself I have to say its rather fantastic. This is a well mastered and pressed release which has indulged me with instruments and sounds I had previously not even noticed. Perhaps because I never watched a high quality version of the series, but I digress. The musicality and atmosphere comes across so well that you finally realize that this had real musicians recorded on stage and not just cheap synthesisers in a studio and it feels like youre there, hearing their performance. With only slight amounts of pops and surface noise I have to commend the job they did on this. As a whole its one of the crowns in my collection and not just for its rarity. This truly is worth the money as a collector, fan of the series and music lover in general.Equipment used:Rega RP1 with Nagaoka MP-110 CartridgeCyrus 2 AmplifierSystem Fidelity SF-3050 tower speakersCustom made HQ speaker cables

TheDeadTexan Where did you end up getting this from? The prices are insane right now What I usually to when I want something is to put the item in my wishlist. It will notify my every day about new offers on the item and as soon as I find something acceptable I purchase it basically. This one I was able to get for about 90$. These 200$ prices truly are insane but Im sure that if you wait a bit you will find someone offering at a lower price. Note however that the wishlist does not notify you as soon as a new offer is uploaded, it just summarizes all the new deals every 24 hours. So I often check several times a day if there is a new deal if I really want that album. In other comments here you will find a link to the Japanese store that sells these as well but every time I checked they were always out of stock everywhere and I dont know any other places to check. Good luck to you however!

Do NOT by any means pay the outrageous prices people are asking for this. You can get this for half the price from HMV Japan and it's still in print. It goes out of stock from time to time, but always comes back.http://www.hmv.co.jp/en/artist_Animation_000000000013179/item_Neon-Genesis-Evangelion_6490975

tried to order this twice. once off hmv and once off a seller here and both times fallen through. If someone has this for sale at a reasonable price let me know!
Gholbirius
Yeah, it's gone now. I really don't want to pay the ransom prices right now.
Tansino
Why do you think they are selling so expensively? And thanks for the link btw, I have been wanting this for a while now. But it seems like every shop is out of stock right now. Any idea when it will be back?
Bulace
Would be cool if something was done for End of Evangelion's OST
Ygglune
The CD's been around for ages, but a revamped version would be cool.
Abywis
Well there is a CD version that I got for like 25£.

AMAZING pressing. CDJapan shipped it out to me within a month which was pretty great too. Highly recommend this one.
melody of you
http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/product/KIJA-6 CDJapan is a very reliable source. Fairly reasonable rates for shipments to the U.S., well packaged and fast delivery, pricing leaves a bit to be desired. Though better than what's being charged here.
felt boot
cheapest option there is 57$ after shipping. i'd rather get it there.
